Largest African American Festival on the East Coast to Take Place June 18 - 20, 2010Baltimore's 9th Annual African American

(Press Release) - Baltimore is giving families the perfect Father's Day weekend celebration this year, with the 9th annual African American Heritage Festival taking place June 18 – 20 at M&T Bank Stadium, Lots B&C. While enjoying world-class entertainment, visitors can celebrate the history, culture, education, heritage and arts that embrace and promote the rich African American traditions of Baltimore.

On the Main Stage, the all-star performances will kick off on Friday, June 18 with R&B sensation Ryan Leslie opening for balladeer Robin Thicke followed by a soultry special guest star performance (to be announced on June 7) who will treat festival-goers to an evening under the stars on Saturday, June 19. Performances will conclude on Sunday, June 20 with the festival's first-ever Gospel Explosion featuring national and regional choirs highlighted by the sounds of the Sears Choir. Rounding out the Father's Day celebration will be Grammy award-winning Donnie McClurkin.

The largest African American festival on the East Coast will feature new educational and historical exhibits, an interactive children's area and a variety of specialized villages offering free educational programming in financial empowerment and health services and resources.

The festival is free before 4pm. General admission tickets are $5 for adults after 4pm and children 12 and under are free. The Main Stage concerts will also feature a limited amount of reserved seating available for $30. This includes admission into the festival grounds and activities.
